LANDFIRE Preliminary Annual Disturbance CONUS 2024
The LANDFIRE Preliminary Annual Disturbance (PDist) product was first introduced with the LF 2023 Update (LF 2023). While Limited Annual Disturbance (LDist) is a first “draft”, PDist is akin to a second “draft” of the LANDFIRE Annual Disturbance product and includes disturbance events captured between October 1, 2023 and September 30, 2024. PDist releases for the Conterminous United States (CONUS), Alaska (AK), Hawaii (HI), and Puerto Rico and the US Virgin Islands (PRVI) will be ongoing throughout the 2025 calendar year. PDist was derived from Landsat imagery, submitted disturbance events from the data call, and online fire program data collected on or before September 30, 2024. Unlike the LDist product released earlier in calendar year 2025, PDist includes remotely sensed severity for submitted events and unknown disturbances where change was detected.
