This data release contains geospatial and tabular data associated with generalized lithologic classes (rocktypes) as reassigned from the USGS state map compilation for the conterminous United States. The dataset consists of one shapefile with associated metadata: geol_poly_albers_anning.shp: polygons of generalized lithologic classes for the conterminous United States And one table with associated metadata: geol_poly_rocktypes.dbf: highly specific state-scale lithologic classes from the USGS state map compilation and generalized lithologic classes (rocktypes)
