<descript>
This map shows the USGS (United States Geologic Survey), NWIS (National
Water Inventory System) Hydrologic Data Sites for Millard County, Utah.

The scope and purpose of NWIS is defined on the web site:

http://water.usgs.gov/public/pubs/FS/FS-027-98/
<purpose>The purpose of this work is to illustrate and distribute over the internet,
hydrologic data site information for Millard County in the State of Utah.</purpose>
<supplinf>This coverage is for Millard County, Utah.

Arc Info 'point' coverages are created and used to make an illustration
showing the hydrologic data sites for each county in the State of Utah.
Each coverage is converted to the form of an Arc export file represented
by an .e00 extension.
The names are given by county. The form is: ut_ <county name>.e00.
The coverages made with latitude and longitude in decimal degrees.
The USGS Water Resources Division Web Node keeps these files and
distributes them over the web.

Steps to make these files:

A. The NWIS database is queried and items extracted.
B. The retrieved query items are then made into ARC/INFO coverages.
C. The ARC/INFO coverages are made into an Arc export file format
with the extension .e00.
D. Export format files are sent to the USGS Web Node for distribution
over the Internet.
