      <abstract>The orthoimagery, digital surface model and point cloud presented here document conditions at the Ashtabula River Area of Concern in Ashtabula, Ohio in September 2021. Imagery documents the result of in-stream and terrestrial habitat restorations that had occurred in 2012. Aerial images were collected using a DJI Phantom with FC6310 sensor flying at a nominal elevation of approximately 100 meters above the surface of the lake water. Data were processed using structure-from-motion techniques to generate a point cloud (las), digital surface model (DSM; .tif) and an orthomosaic (.tif) for the site. Final ground surface distance resolution is approximately 2.65 centimeters for imagery and 5.30 centimeters for the digital surface model. Products provide baseline information about terrestrial and emergent wetland communities against which to compare changes as the restoration develops. A processing report generated by the structure-from-motion processing software is also provided.</abstract>
      <purpose>As part of the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative, the USGS is providing technical assistance to support ecological restorations at Great Lakes Areas of Concern (AOC). One element of that effort is to apply remote sensing data sources and methods to assess and monitor ecological restorations. High-resolution imagery gathered using unoccupied aerial system and satellite platforms are used to document geomorphic, hydrologic, and vegetation conditions before, during, and after restoration implementation and to assess change through time. Where possible, remote sensing datasets are complemented by field data collected on the ground or water. Data for this effort were collected as part of a collaboration with Battelle through the National Ecosystem Observation Network.</purpose>
