The US Geological Survey's Upper Midwest Environmental Sciences Center, in coordination with the US Fish and Wildlife Service's (USFWS) Branch of Migratory Bird Surveys, worked to develop, survey, and deploy an advanced aerial photography boresight in the town of Bassville Park, Florida. The intention of this boresight is to provide an extensive array of high-accuracy ground control points, to supplement an existing lidar boresight at the site, for the development of camera metrics on novel camera systems managed and deployed by the USFWS.
      <purpose>This layer provides an outline of the 16 1/2-mile x 1/2 -mile quadrants that compose the 2-mile x 2-mile boresight field.</purpose>

<procdesc>The area of Bassville Park, Florida was reviewed for an area of 2-mile x 2-miles that coincided with developed areas with sufficient, permanent ground infrastructure for selecting and surveying up to 10 ground control points per quadrant and maximum coincidence with an existing lidar boresight in the area. A cardinal direction aligned square was selected centered on 28.8384173 degrees north and 81.7821316 degrees west. This square was divided into 16 1/2-mile by 1/2-mile squares with these squares named A1 - D4 with east-west rows designated 1-4 (north to south) and north-south columns designated A-D (west to east) such that the northwest quadrant is A1 and the southeast quadrant is D4</procdesc>
