The U.S. Geological Survey, in cooperation with the Colorado Department of Transportation, developed peak-, mean-, and low-streamflow regional-regression equations for natural streamflow in central and western Colorado. This data release includes geographic information systems data and hydrologic data through water year 2019 that were compiled, processed, and analyzed for this peak-, mean-, and low-streamflow study. This child page includes raster datasets representing basin and climate attributes within central and western Colorado and are served in the Colorado StreamStats application to describe delineated basins. The StreamStats application provides access to spatial analytical tools that can be useful for water-resources planning and management, and for engineering and design purposes. The map-based user interface can be used to delineate drainage areas, get basin characteristics, and estimates of flow statistics, and more.
<purpose>The purpose of this data release is to present data that were used to update regional-regression equations for estimating peak, mean, and low streamflows for use in central and western Colorado. The raster datasets were created for incorporation into the U.S. Geological Survey Colorado StreamStats application to describe delineated basins.</purpose>
