      <abstract>The dataset contains data from two GPS surveys conducted after a flow event on September 8, 2020, at the USGS streamgage 09471580 - San Pedro River at St David, AZ. The first survey, conducted on October 14, 2020, documents CSA cross section geometry, CSA pin elevations, and high-water marks at CSA cross sections from the flow event in the CSA reach downstream from the gage (09471588 - San Pedro River below Dragoon Wash at St David, AZ). The second survey, conducted on December 8, 2020, documents CSA pin elevations and additional high-water marks in the CSA reach from the flow event on September 8, 2020, and the elevation of the thalweg from the CSA reach to the streamgage (09471580) at the bridge.</abstract>
      <purpose>Gage height and discharge data are collected at U.S. Geological Survey streamgage 09471580 - San Pedro River at St David, AZ. A flow event occurred on September 8, 2020. Two GPS surveys were conducted on October 14 and December 8, 2020, to document cross section geometry, thalweg elevations, sensor locations, and high-water marks from the flow event at CSA 09471588 - San Pedro River below Dragoon Wash at St David, AZ, and streamgage 09471580 - San Pedro River at St David, AZ. The data were collected to compute peak discharge for the September 8, 2020, flow event using the slope-area method; however, due to significant scatter in HWM elevations and minimal fall throughout the reach, a slope-area peak discharge measurement was not computed from the survey data.

Continuous slope-area (CSA) sensors collect stage data in two reaches downstream from streamgage 09471580. CSA 09471587 - Dragoon Wash above San Pedro River at St David, AZ, is instrumented with CSA sensors at three cross sections. CSA 09471588 - San Pedro River below Dragoon Wash at St David, AZ, is located downstream from the confluence of Dragoon Wash and the San Pedro River and is instrumented with CSA sensors at four cross sections. The CSA reaches were installed to measure peak discharge for stage-discharge rating development for streamgage 09471580. The CSA sensors were installed on June 21, 2018. The flow event on September 8, 2020, was not high enough on Dragoon Wash for the sensors to record data, so no survey was conducted at CSA 09471587 for this flow event.</purpose>

Base station coordinates from 12/8/2020 survey were corrected to orthometric height based on OPUS solution, and 12/8/2020 survey data were OPUS corrected within Leica software. An issue with Leica equipment prevented 10/14/2020 survey from being OPUS corrected within the software. OPUS corrections were applied to 10/14/2020 survey by determining corrections to Ortho Height and N and E using 12/8/2020 values. Corrected N and E for 10/14/2020 survey were loaded in Global Mapper and exported in latitude/longitude.</procdesc>
