    <attracc>
      <attraccr>Acoustic transmitters were internally applied to individuals and transmitter numbers recorded in logs. When transmitters enter a receiver range, the transmitter code is logged and downloaded using the same process. Time is recorded in UTC by receivers and verified during each download. Location information provided (rkm) is within +/- 0.5 rkms. Individual transmitters IDs were subject to post-processing to remove all identifiable false positive detections within the data set. Acoustic receiver detection efficiency decreases with distance and even at close range, there is potential for false negative detections.</attraccr>
    </attracc>
    <logic>Data was consistently handled during data downloading and all processed at the end of the study. There should not be any data inconsistencies occurring from data mismanagement.</logic>
    <complete>Detections were recorded in continuous time and binned into daily and four day periods. As described in the Accuracy Report, some data was removed if it failed pre-processing data standards potentially falling in the false positive detection criteria described herein.</complete>

        <procdesc>Acoustic receivers were deployed at approximately 5-10 river kilometers within the Suwannee River in order to detect acoustically tagged Gulf sturgeon within range. Receiver data was collected and downloaded using Vemco VR2W receivers and VUE Software (Vemco-Amirix Systems, Halifax,107 Nova Scotia, Canada).</procdesc>

        <procdesc>Data was downloaded as .vrl files into VUE Software, which manages detection and location data for each receiver. For analyses, the raw data was exported from VUE as .csv files and analyzed in R (R Core Team 2018). Transmitter IDs for individuals were cross-referenced from the full list of Gulf sturgeon tags across the Gulf of Mexico as of 2016. All other tags were removed from the data set. Capture histories and associated individual information were then linked to transmitter IDs. If a transmitter ID did not pass through the river mouth gates during a season, or did not follow an expected progression of receivers, or if it occurred less than six times in a season, it was removed from the data set. Upon careful inspection of the remaining data, no violations of progressive, biologically relevant behaviors (which would indicate false positive detections) were detected among Gulf sturgeon transmitters.</procdesc>
