    <descript>
This data release is a compilation of the digital products from a hydrogeologic framework of the glaciated conterminous United States that were constructed to portray sediment and aquifer characteristics within this area. These digital products are described in Yager and others (2018).
      <purpose>Three digital products for the glaciated conterminous United States were derived from: 1) the Aquifer and Sediment Characteristics geodatabase, 2) the groundwater-use by County geodatabase, and 3) Recharge estimated from application of an Soil-Water Balance (SWB) model. These products are described under the following metadata, respectively: 1) Sediment and Aquifer Characteristics of Quaternary Sediments in the Glaciated Conterminous United States, 2) Groundwater Usage for Public Supply by County in the Glaciated Conterminous United States, and 3) Soil-Water-Balance Model for estimating net infiltration rates for the Glaciated Conterminous United States, 2000-2013.</purpose>
